Welcome in my Kibitka !
A "kibitka" is a yourt , the home of mongolian and kalmykian tribes. All their goods, their precious possessions are kept in their kibitka.
I am only a former journalist from Belgium (Brussels), now a novel writer and a hobby photographer.
As photographer, i like to catch the human strenghts and weaknesses, the beauty of the nature and the weirdness of man's creations. I praise the charm of woman and man, the mysteries of animals, the simplicity of landscapes.
My precious photographic souvenirs will stay here at everyone's disposal. Look at them freely cause I like to open my home to visitors, to share my souvenir and my emotions.
This website is very simple... like a real kibitka. It has only 3 pages :
- this one, "the home page", to welcome you,
- another one, the "portfolio", to show you my souvenirs,
- and a last one, "contacts", to offer you the opportunity to send me a message. Don't be afraid : tell me what you think and maybe what you feel. Ask your questions or make proposals ; i am always open to new challenges, happy to meet new people and make discoveries.
I wish you'll spend a nice time in my kibitka. You'll be always welcomed back in this humble "home".
Alain

1 : The solitarian tree, alone in the middle of the Kalmykian steppe. According to the legend it grew at the precise place a famous lama died. Since then it accomplishes miracles. People in need come here, pray and leave a coloured ribbon on the tree, asking for a better life for themselve or for a beloved one.
